Formed in 2002, GDSX, Ltd. is a Allen, Texas-based leading software developer and computer services provider to the travel industry.

Perspective and Focus

GDSX specializes in travel reservation-centric data consolidation and automation, including quality control (QC), reservation finishing and travel fulfillment services. The company’s flagship product, COMPLEAT, is a hosted software application enabling customer-authored automation processes and encompassing all aspects of global travel fulfillment, including multiple language handling for all customer-facing communication. COMPLEAT enables TMCs, CTDs, online travel providers and travel fulfillment companies to define and implement their own fully-automated processes of touchless fulfillment, CRM and service delivery. COMPLEAT has a global impact, processing reservations for travelers in 48 countries around the world.

Our Unique Value Proposition

Prior to COMPLEAT, travel automation developers built modular robotic solutions to automate much of the QC and file finishing processes that have become ubiquitous today. Alternatively, automation services could be obtained from service bureaus operating their own robotic tools. Service bureau implementations have not proved as successful as might have been hoped because the relatively high cost and slow turnaround of customizations operate in contradiction to the entrepreneurial and customer-focused services of the TMC being served by them.

A major design goal of COMPLEAT and the business model supporting it has been to empower GDSX customers. We teach them how to remotely operate COMPLEAT to create robust automation that best suits their specific needs, without relying on our development resources to implement them. This ability preserves the competitive advantages their unique automation ideas can deliver. COMPLEAT offers a totally new approach to travel automation, removing the legacy limitations of traditional mid-office systems, by extending its reach from post-reservation, queue based processing to scheduled, on-demand, and real-time interoperability with booking tools at the point-of-sale. COMPLEAT’s scope also extends from simple GDS robotics, to a fully integratable automation platform addressing the widest scope of travel data and booking sources available today and going forward.

It is COMPLEAT’s broad scope of features, connectivity options, and programmability that promotes its use across such a wide spectrum. For the TMC and CTD markets, COMPLEAT delivers the mid-office functionality that has become standard in the industry, but more importantly COMPLEAT provides a highly adaptive and integratable travel automation platform that empowers its users with the means to bring their innovative ideas to life. In an industry where time is often “of the essence,” COMPLEAT affords travel companies and providers the ability to create robust, custom automation that is relevant to their immediate need.

COMPLEAT enjoys a number of industry ‘firsts’. It is the first mid-office solution to be engineered for the Internet age, utilizing Microsoft’s .NET framework. As such, COMPLEAT is faster and more efficient than the software underlying competing service providers. Its use of current generation development tools delivers lower customer costs. COMPLEAT is the first of its kind to extensively embrace the use of web services to facilitate and streamline integration and interoperability with external systems and software. Utilizing industry standard web services allows our customers the flexibility to communicate with vendors and their own software applications without the use of proprietary software.

As the only vendor-independent travel automation platform of its kind, COMPLEAT:

Becky Strahan, Partner and Founder of the organization - Becky has almost 20 years of experience in the travel industry including roles covering every facet of travel technology from development to executive oversight. Her vision for providing excellent solutions and customer service continues to drive GDSX today.

Bill Strahan, Partner and Chief Executive Officer - Bill also brings GDSX long term experience in the travel industry with a proven record of providing unique solutions to travel industry pain points. The architectural direction of GDSX draws upon his more than 15 years of experience developing travel automation systems.

Jon Farrier, Partner - Joined GDSX in 2003 and is an industry veteran, whose background includes CxO roles with US and European-based global travel management companies. Jon was the founder and CEO of Travel Technologies Group (now TRX) until 2000.

Doug Clark, Chief Information Officer - a gifted software developer with the unique ability to design solutions that are intuitive to both the business needs and technical requirements of an organization and the challenge at hand. His talents and contributions have been a key factor in the success of GDSX.

Cindy Allen, Chief Operating Officer - the newest member of the executive team joined us in mid 2008. She brings with her 15 years of technology experience in the arena of online B2B applications, integration and data distribution solutions. Having been an integral part of the start up to success of StoneEagle.com, Inc., her roles included a range from design and architecture to executive management.
