UNIGLOBE Implements Credit Tracking Module for Unused Tickets

Dallas, TX, August 19, 2009 – UNIGLOBE Travel Western Canada announced today it would leverage GDSX’s COMPLEAT module to take advantage of a one-stop eTicket credit management tool by using Web services and GDSX’s Remote Data Access connection.
Uniglobe Travel agencies and their clients in North America will soon be able to take advantage of a simple, one-stop airline credits management tool. Two big challenges in managing credits is making sure that all agents know the credit has been used or is available and integrating Epay carriers and ARC tickets into one view.
“With the help of GDSX’s COMPLEAT tool, we’ve been able to accomplish this and more” said Keith Donner, Director of Business Process Automation at UNIGLOBE Travel Western Canada. “COMPLEAT has a powerful built in ETicket Tracking Module that allows us to relay ANYTHING about the status of an ETicket to a database, a web service, or send a notification email if required. We’ve leveraged this process to send unused Etickets to a database which appear immediately on the Credit Tracking Website. As COMPLEAT sees this ticket again as “Exchanged”, this credit in the database is updated to show it has been redeemed and it then disappears from the list of active credits. For Epay carriers, the agent can add a remark to the now cancelled PNR to have the credit added OR they can add it directly on the website For those using Booking Builder Genie, a daily upload from this database using COMPLEAT’s web services, makes sure the agent knows the credit exist BEFORE they start a booking- a terrific time and energy savings for the agents. “, Donner explained.
“On the reporting side, the user can set up scheduled unused ticket reports which are sent using COMPLEAT’s communication module. This module is flexible enough that the reports can be generated as attachments in PDF, comma delimited or text files. It’s fast and easy for our agencies to deliver and that means time and money savings for them.
