COMPLEAT Remote Control
COMPLEAT Remote Control (CRC) expands
exponentially the number and breadth of uses to which users can apply COMPLEAT.
The short version is that users will be able to invoke their own COMPLEAT
routines and processes on demand, called directly from other software
applications they might be using! With Remote Control any application that can
call a web service can draw on COMPLEAT's intelligence and robotic capabilities
on a real-time basis, rather than simply placing work in batches or queues for
processing sequentially. The implications are remarkable, since COMPLEAT can
become the 'arms and legs' of other travel applications you may develop or may
already be supporting.
COMPLEAT has always offered connectivity options to bring its
intelligence to other travel tools, such as POS scripts, mapping and reporting
tools; however, COMPLEAT Remote Control can bring the power of COMPLEAT to work
for your travel applications, on demand.
No longer limited to information
retrieval, external applications can call upon COMPLEAT to perform any function
or set of functions (processes) the user has authored in COMPLEAT's Routine
Builder. Just as COMPLEAT brought information from the mid-office to the
point-of-sale; Remote Control achieves the same Just-In-Time standard with
sophisticated robotic automation.
Surprisingly, a relatively minor feature enrichment to COMPLEAT
makes COMPLEAT Remote Control possible. Since COMPLEAT already boasts the industry’s
most robust automation routine builder, and since COMPLEAT has always embraced web
services connectivity; it was only to marry these features by introducing a universal
‘Remote Control’ web service, giving COMPLEAT users the option of associating routines
with the CRC web service.
The result is to enable non-GDSX software applications to:
- Contact COMPLEAT and reserve a resource to perform automation
- Identify the automation routines to be invoked
- Pass any needed parameters to perform the process requested, and
- Receive the results of all actions taken by COMPLEAT
